About Preflection

Preflection is a guided reflection platform designed to encourage self-awareness, gratitude, intentional living, and personal growth through structured daily reflection.

Preflection is intended for personal use and should not be considered medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Preflection.

If you are under the age of majority in your country, you should use Preflection with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.

Please choose a secure password and do not share your login details with others.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Your Reflections

Everything you write in Preflection belongs to you.

We do not claim ownership of your journal entries, reflections, memories, or other personal content.

By using Preflection, you grant us only the limited permission necessary to securely store, process, and display your content so that the service functions as intended.

We will never sell your reflections or use them for advertising purposes.

Acceptable Use

Please use Preflection respectfully.

You agree not to:

• Attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the service.
• Upload malicious software or harmful code.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
• Use Preflection for unlawful purposes.
• Harass, abuse, or threaten others through the platform.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Privacy

Your privacy matters deeply to us.

Our collection, storage, and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

By using Preflection, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

Mental Health Disclaimer

Preflection is a self-reflection tool.

It is not therapy, counselling, crisis support, or medical treatment.

Although reflection can be a valuable part of personal wellbeing, Preflection is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any mental health condition.

If you are experiencing emotional distress or believe you may need professional support, we encourage you to seek help from a qualified healthcare professional or an appropriate crisis service in your area.

Availability

We aim to keep Preflection available, secure, and reliable.

However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

From time to time we may perform maintenance, release updates, improve features, or temporarily suspend parts of the service.

Changes to Preflection

Preflection will continue to evolve.

We may introduce new features, improve existing ones, modify functionality, or discontinue features over time.

Where practical, significant changes will be communicated to users in advance.

Intellectual Property

The Preflection name, branding, logo, website design, question library, and original content are the intellectual property of Preflection unless otherwise stated.

You may not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit this material without permission.

Your own reflections and personal journal entries always remain yours.

Limitation of Liability

Preflection is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

While we strive to provide a reliable and enjoyable experience, we make no guarantees that the service will always be error-free or uninterrupted.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Preflection shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Termination

You may stop using Preflection at any time.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the platform.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as Preflection grows.

When significant changes are made, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify users.

Continued use of Preflection after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Any disputes arising from the use of Preflection shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
